Hi Dad!!

Update: 16 August 1996

Here's your WineTemp excel file.

Here are some other/New Links

Data MapsThis is a good site to get demographics for any city in the US. It is put out by the US Census Bureau. When you finaly select a county, check out the Tiger Map to get a street level map.
Wine USENET groupThis is the rec.crafts.winemaking usenet group. Depending on how your browser is set up, it should jump to a usenet reader when you click on it. If not, you will need to starup the usenet reader in AOL. You should definetly check this usenet group out!

Just thought I would try and put together some web links that are related to wine and viticulture. You've probably seen most (all?) of them, but maybe there's a few you haven't seen that are useful. I tried to list those links that might be useful, but most are for neophytes. I was hoping to find links that had practicle viticulture information, but there doesn't seem to be much. Anyway, here come the links....

Viticulture

This is a short list of web sites that have useful viticulture references.
CSIRO Grapevine ServerOutside of USCD (which i never got to) this seems the best research based site.
Chappellet Winery. Meet the Chappellet Vineyard Manager, David Pirio. This, as it says, is the vineyard manger there. Supposedly you can ask him questions via email.
Viticulture ( Grape Vines Research ) LinksPoints to a couple other sites. Also in Australia
Department of Viticulture & Enology Coperative ExtensionOk, you already know this is a good place, but i was never able to reach it. too busy.

Books

Here are a couple of sites where you can find (and buy) books
Winetitles: Home PageSeems they have a decent listing of books. In Australia.
Winetitles: Publication List by CategorySame as above, just different page.

Educational

These are sites that are based on obtaing a degree in Enology and/or Viticulture.
The American Society for Enology and Viticulture, Eastern SectionSeems like a professional organization. Did not check out.
Viticulture & EnologyThis is a program in Texas. Interestingly, they are not directly connected to the internet.

General Sites

These are some general sites that contain a lot of info.
The WWWW PageWorld Wide Web Wine Making. Seems like good site that might be of some use. They have some demo program for making wine labels. I'd recommend checking the site out.
The Cyber Wine MapVery complete site. Did not check it out much though.

Wine Making

These site either talk about wine making, or offer supplies for wine making.
Rocky Mountain HOMEBREWThey seem to offer quite a bit for wine making. Buy stuff from them directly.
Von Klopp Brew Shop - Wine & Beer Making SuppliesAlso have lots of stuff for sale for wine making.
Wine MakingJust a few (one?) things here. does have a nice home made filter-bottle filling device.

Virtual Tours

These sites have vineyards you can visit via the web (there are probably a lot more of these, kind of boring?)
WineZoneFocus on Northern California area.
Wine, Aull-N-Aull WebWinery, Santa Cruz Mountains, Vineyard, WineryKind of a store on the web. Did not check out much.

Jump Points

These are some links that reference many other sites. I have not cheched out all the links they reference though.
Theo's Wine LinksThis is a good site that is well organized (better than this one, no way,... ok yes)
the GrapevineDecent number of links
ViticultureThis is in Australia with some links to so called vitculture pages (i found none in the ones i looked at though). Seems there's a lot on line about wine in Australia... And, hey, theyv'e got the same background as this page, what a coincidence :)
Wine & Grape Related SitesOk list, not organized though.
Internet Winemaking ResourcesList most of the sites i list above. Had problems connecting, so there might be more.

Well, that is my breif summary. Hope you find it useful, cause it's the only gift you get! If you've got some good site you would like to add, let me know via E-mail:

This button wll take you to my home page.

Later, have a happy Father's Day
